So Excited!
So, remember the woman who had me come over and swim in her pool and paid me $10 an hour to do it? (Okay, okay...I was watching her 12 and 13 year old daughters, but my kids and I were allowed to swim in the pool while we did it?)
Well, she called the other day with a proposal and after discussing it with dh, I accepted. 3 days a week, after my school lets out, I will pick up her daughters from school, pick up my kids from daycare, and bring them all back to my home. I will give the kids a snack and then monitor her daughters homework. When they are done, they can do whatever, (play with Julia and Patrick), and they'll stay until 6 pm. Their mother is going to pay me $50 a day to do this. 3 days a week at $50 a day pays for more than 1/2 of Patrick's daycare expense each week! Julia LOVES these girls and will be thrilled to have them over to play 3 days a week. Doing this at my house allows me to get dinner ready and get chores done while Julia is being occupied by the girls. As a teacher, helping with their homework is no problem whatsoever. I'm excited and think this is a great thing. It may be a bit disruptive to our routine at first, but then I think it will become part of the routine.
