Watching this item with interest.
Anchor Hocking Green Punch Bowl Set
I have this exact same set that I dug out of the garage today. It is listed in my MIL's wedding book as a gift in 1951.
I am considering selling it but you know how those heart strings pull at you when you try to part with a piece of your families past."Success on any major scale requires you to accept responsibity."

So.....are you suggesting that they might not pull so hard if the bid gets high enough?!?!
My mom had one of those when I was little....
I think the first time I ever heard my mom cuss was when I broke one of the little cups.....

Glassware sells really well. I used to sell quite a bit of it. I would love that same set in ruby red.

I think if you aren't attached sell it, but if you think someone in the next generation would love it, I'd save it.If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. Ya know, I really do love glass and I have quite a few pieces that I do use on special occasions. I don't have room on my selves for this set.
I didn't think to ask ds if he wants it. He loves glass too but mostly crystal glasses.
I figure it's worth atleast $50.00 and I guess I will keep it awhile longer. I can always sell it later if he doesn't want it, right?"Success on any major scale requires you to accept responsibity."

So far there are no bids on it. I think maybe it's listed at too high a starting price.

The punch bowl set sold for $49.99 with one bid. I figure the person listed it for the least amount they would take on the item. I've done that before too. Sometimes you take a chance not selling it but sometimes you do good like this one did.
I asked ds if he wanted to keep the set and he said no. I think I may just give it to one of my sisters as a present. That way I know who it went to and they will always know where it came from.
