    Cool Ebay selling questions...

Hello, I am thinking about selling some items that I have on ebay or possibly even on the FSOT boards here!

Any suggestions on where to find reasonably priced boxes and padded envelopes? Has anyone ever seen these at Dollar Tree?

Where I can I find an inexpensive postal scale?

Also, is there a free chart somewhere online that shows how much shipping will cost based on how much your package weighs?

    Thanks!

I got a small (up to 5lb) postal scale at BJ's for $30.00.

Bubble envelopes are available through some sellers on ebay. I can purchase 100 of them for about $35.00 and they last a long time. Just do a search for bubble envelopes.

Priority mail boxes are available for free from the USPS. Just log onto their website to order to get them from the post office.

I think the free Priority boxes are the way to go!

You can calculate postage here: http://www.usps.com/tools/calculatep...lculatepostage

I have a 5# Digital Scale NIB that I want to get rid of. I just don't know how much I want for it. Lmk if your interested.

Since you are new to selling I think it would be a great idea for you to start here on FSOT or at the Frugal Village Auctions

It would be great experience for you and not quite as daunting as ebay.

Don't know if you have one or not, but often, Walgreen's will put their padded bubble mailers on sale for .39 cents each.

Thanks Carrie. I only have one or two left and I didn't know Walgreens did that.

If you ship UPS (which is often cheaper for packages over 2 pounds), UPS offers FREE boxes as well. They have a small "video" sized box and a medium sized box. Both are similar to the USPS priority boxes in size. They also offer free 2 per page labels. All you have to do is have a UPS account (it's free to get one and you can just print right from the internet) and call them up to order (not available online). It saves me a bunch.

I also use a local box wholesaler. check your yellow pages and see if there is one locally to you. A lot of small retailers keep/have smaller boxes and/or packing peanuts you can get for free as well. Ask around

For those of you with OfficeMax, it's been awhile, but they put out promos where you can ship one package free to anywhere in the US. You have to have the coupon out of the sales flyer to do this, but it'll save you the shipping on one package anyways. Can't remember all the details, but I know that I never had any trouble shipping anything. They use Airborne Express and you get a tracking number so you can keep up with the shipment.

Noticed in today's Walgreen's flier that the bubble bags are on sale 3 for $1 with the in flier coupon.
