pricing dilemma ?????????UPDATE
This started with a princess hat for Hlaa and now I am addicted to making these fleece hats. I have a craft show the first week in December and I plan on listing these on ebay. It took me 30 minutes to do 2 this morning and that includes the time on the embroidery machine. I can get the fleece on sale at $4.00 a yd and I can make 6 out of 1 yard so thats.....66 cents in fleece cost. So what do you think for a price? Maybe 4 or 5 dollars? Also can I get an outsiders opinion on how they look? My last craft show was a bust so I am lacking on self confidence. Thanks ladies !

I made ten of these for the craft show and they were gone in an hour!!! I priced them at 6.00. I have another show the first weekend in Dec. so I better get busy.mylittle4 aka Angelee

I think they are adorable!! I would say at least $5.00. They would probably sell for more on ebay. If you sell them on ebay you might could personalize them for an additional charge. I've seen that done before on ebay. I also live in Missouri, just outside of Farmington. Where are you?? Good luck!!

Those are adorable! I would think at least $5, maybe a bit more. Don't forget to add in the cost of the embroidery when figuring your cost to make.

I would be asking more like $8.00. A similar hat at the store without embroidery for Aimee was 12.00. Their is a lot of room for mark up with fleece products this year - especially some of the ideas that Sara had posted scarves and whatnot. I am so jealous that you have an embroidery machine - what brand - what did it cost?? You might also consider some with skate lingo and snowboard and BMX cuz these are the kids that really wear these in bright colors!!

I have made some scarves with embroidery also but they didn't do any good at the last show. It did turn up unusually warm that day so I think that is why we didn't do well. I am off to search for these posts about fleece. It is too much fun to work with and it embroideres so nicely.

I think the general rule of thumb is your cost of materials x 2
plus however long it took you to make them x $10/hr (or however much you want)
I would think with personalization you could get $10 each for them on Ebay.
