did chuck e cheese "secret agent" shop today
It was packed! Holy moly. They were lined up in the streets to get in. The tables were all taken or reserved for parties. We had to wait and I've never been in a place so swamped with children before.
It was a lot of fun, but we had quite a wait for our food.
It never ceases to amaze me how some parents just let their children loose. Kids are running around everywhere unsupervised. Lots of shoving and pushing and preteens in the ball crawl for toddlers. *sigh*
As we left there was still a line outside waiting to get in.
It was worth fighting the crowds because my kids had a blast, but the service was bad. I can't say I blame the employees. It's mostly teens working there and the place was a madhouse. If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. I don't blame ya one bit for not liking the place.
I'm completely wiped out like I ran a marathon or something. It was a lot of work just making sure my kids didn't get trampled by other kids.
Places like that make me crazy. I get to the point where I want to yell....Hey your kid (the one in the red shirt) is shoving kids and stealing their tokens while you sit in a corner drinking. I can't believe they serve alcohol at Chuck E Cheese! I never knew that before today and was shocked! If you'd like to help support Frugal Living by Sara Noel, my syndicated column, e-mail, write, or call the managing editor at your local newspaper and ask them to publish it in print or online. I didn't know CEC served alcohol either!

So, did you hand out the red citation, or did you give a couple of green ones? If you haven't left the feedback yet, be sure to tell them what you told us!
When we did our most recent visit to a local CEC, it was wonderful! The place was half empty, clean and the service was great. The kid working the prize counter even threw in some freebies for my kids who couldn't make up their minds!
There is another CEC on the other side of town that I refuse to go to as it sounds a lot like the one you went to!
I hope when you go back for your free visit that it is much more pleasant (maybe use it at a different location?)
