    Default Auction Hound is born!

I am so excited! You know I took on a couple of consignments accounts for friends and family here awhile back.... well, a few weeks ago I had taken some stuff to a local antiques dealer to see if he would be interested in buying them....we got to talking about ebay... and he said he was interested in me selling some stuff for him.... he gave my name to another woman who called me and them gave my name to another woman...

Now I have 6 consignments accounts... the two ladies brought me 5 boxes of stuff and the man called me today and had several items... I already have close to 30 items put on ebay this week and have tons more to put on.... sooooo

    Auctionhound Services is born!!

I'm really hoping this turns into something good... It would be great to have some extra money coming in and getting to stay at home to do it....

I hope you all don't mind, I just wanted to share my news with you all.....I'm really excited about this and nervous to....I got contracts printed out so I'm protected and made me some business cards....this has really took off....thanks for lettting me share my news!

That's great. What is your percentage of sales? Or do you charge to list? Curious how you are charging for your service.

I've been considering selling clothes from the thrift store here. The stuff is dirt cheap and in excellent condition.

I charge 30% and I don't charge to list unless they have a reserve or want extra features.... your ebay fees are usually around 7% (+1% if you take cc paypal) so thats a pretty good profit.

I have done pretty good on ebay....I have sold over 100 personal items (where i have bought here and there), and now am just getting into selling for others.... I was just doing it more as a hobby (listing every few weeks or months) but want to get it to it pretty regular.

I have noticed that as for clothes-children's clothes and plus size go really good and all name brand stuff seems to sell good. I bought a thomas the train one piece outfit at a yard sale last year for $.25 and sold it on ebay for $8.00

I enjoy doing it- it's one of the few "adult" things I get to do anymore...lol....soooo I like it.... if I start losing money, I will quit doing it but every penny I get profit is money I didn't have

That's great news. What a fun way to earn money. I'm also hoping to earn enough money to live off by selling on ebay. Good luck and let us know how you go with it.

Hi! Sounds like a great idea. I, too, have been selling on ebay. Just this past weekend, I sold about $140.00 worth of stuff. Some of it was mine, some I had bought at the thrift store. It was all in excellent condition. I sold 3 pairs of jeans for $44.00. A nursing book for $12.95. A dress for $18.00. It's amazing! I am a stay at home mom and the extra money is really nice. I only had 14 items listed, so I figure if I increase that number my profits would increase also. I really enjoy it! Good luck and keep us posted on how the consignments work out!
