Petsitting

In one years time I've made 350.00 for just three jobs. does anyone else do this?
It started last year when a friend of mine asked if I knew someone who wanted to watch a little schnoodle. I JUMPED at the chance because that is the breed we were looking into. I had to watch her in MY home, which was actually really really awesome. It gave us reasons to go for walks, taught my son responsibility, etc...I watched her for 1 week and made 150.00. Another woman asked if I'd keep her Cockerspaniel here for a weekend- another 50.00...and finally, i just watched the schnoodle for another week- 150.00. I love it, have fun, and we can really use the extra money.
just wondering if anyone else has pet sat.

A fear in the back of my mind is that something will happen to a dog while in my care. Choking on a little toy, etc...

I don't want to advertise but will always open my home to these two dogs.

Diane, Congratulations! I think that sounds like a great way to make extra money. I only watch my own kitties, they don't care for dogs. I wish I had time to pet sit, it sounds like fun!

Wow that's great! I haven't pet sat in a long time. I am going to pet sit a hamster next week lol, but for free. You should try to get more business word of mouth. Summer is coming up!

I sure could of used one in the past. We went home for christmas and the kennels were all full. I finally found a neighbor to keep him. I did call a pet sitter, but I heard children in the background and Konan does good with kids, but only ones he knows.

Petsitting is a GREAT job! Before I got married I used to housesit/petsit. I'd move into their homes and take care of their pets. I did it for 3 different families. They paid me $25 a day. What a gig! Live in a house much nicer than mine, get paid $25 a day for basically just living there and taking care of the dog! One summer I housesat/petsat for the entire summer. It more than covered the rent on my house (that I shared with roommates) and gave me a NICE amount of money. Too bad I wasn't frugal in my early twenties...I could have saved up a ton! Instead, I think it went toward silly stuff.
