ebay or yahoo
I have several women's and men's clothes and shoes that I would like to sell but I'm not sure which auction site to list with. I've never done either one so this is all new to me.
Any tips or advice you have for listing items would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!!

Yahoo auctions are free, Ebay charges a listing fee and commission.
That said, I've never tried Yahoo auctions, and I think Ebay has a larger "audience". I use Turbo Lister through Ebay, and it is very easy & quick to list auctions.
PLMK if you have any other questions. HTH!

Oh, and as far as a tip...I've found it's best to list things on Sunday nights for 7 day auctions. Weekends are when the most people are searching Ebay, and ending on Sunday nights is good to get the West coast bidders as well (and I say this knowing that you are on the East coast like me)

I have never tryed yahoo auctions but would like to. I have had success selling clothes on ebay but the fees are high.
My tips are the following:
I never list anything under $5.00
Make sure you have good pictures-when I first starting selling clothes I would get tons of questions because my pictures were not good.
People always ask for bust and waist and usually length measurments so I try to just go ahead and list them.
Do some seaches and see what other clothes from your maker are selling for, sometimes its better to take them to a consigment shop and get 50% if they are only going for a few dollars.
Hope you make lots of money!

I've been listing on ebay for the past 6 years. I tried Yahoo a few times, and wasn't happy with the results. Although ebay's fees are more expensive, there are more people your reaching. So, I feel it is worth it. Ebay has the best advertising. If you start to list a lot on ebay, you might want to try seller's sourcebook. It has a bunch of templates to use, very affordable picture hosting. Here's the link to the site: http://www.sellersourcebook.com/cgi-...d=ebayshopgirl
You can check out what some of my auctions look like:

I also use turbo lister. I used seller's assistant and andale, but so far I can like my current system.
Good Luck! Ebay is addictive!
