    Default Your best resale item...

What item have you purchased or had for resale and made the best deal on it?

I sold several things on ebay a few weeks ago that I had hardly nothing in and got pretty good back.

I had bought a book at Salvation Army for $.10 and sold it for $15.00.

    Other good resale deals:

Liz Claiborne dog Collar- paid $.50 Sold for $8.50
    Costume Pattern-paid $1.29 Sold for 9.99
American Girls Gift Wrap- paid $.25 sold for $4.75

Its not alot of money but it was alot to me for stuff I gave hardly nothing for.

Whats been some good resale items for you either on ebay or on your own?

Went to the new resale shop in town and while they didn't have that much to pick through I managed to get a BRAND NEW tags still on Ralph Lauren 1 pc bathing suit. I would have paid anything to find a good suit but only paid $6!! Its been a week and I'm STILL excited!

A couple years ago, I found a bunch of bed skirts for $3 and ended up selling them for around $30. That was good money for not much work.

One of the best items I ever bought for resale was 2 sets of old curtains with Chatty Cathy designs on them. I paid $1.50 for them at a garage sale, on the last day when they were asking half price on everything that was left, and I sold them for $130.00! Also some Tiara Glass sconces that I purchased for $4.00, sold for almost $90.00. And then there was the pair of vintage Levi Corduroy pants (with very thin spots on the rear end), that I picked up at the local Goodwill for about $4.00 and promptly sold for $50.00! Yep, the list goes on and on.... My ebay name is Lambs_n_Ivy. Check out what I have up. All of it comes from Goodwill or rummage sales. Thanks Dorie

I've sold a lot on ebay that I bought at yard sales or thrift stores and made pretty good money on.

I bought a shower curtain for $2 at a thrift store and sold it for $35...paid $1 for a baby bed dust ruffle (is that the name of it?) and sold it for $22. Bought a pair of Tommy camo looking pants at a yard sale for $1 sold for $11,bought a "lot" of Limited Too clothes at a thrift store for around $8-$10 and sold them all together for around $45.....bought some 2 packs of Calvin Klein lipstick (12 total packs but 24 lipsticks) at Sams for $1.51 and sold them for $12 each ($12X24=$288 ) .....My sister gave me a coach purse she got at a yard sale for $1 and I sold it for $27 ....I know there's been more...all I can think of.

I don't usually buy stuff to resell as I have way too much here to sell but I recently found some tole painting magazines at a library sale and bought 29 for $5.00. They are up to $10.00 right now and I still have another day before the auction ends. I also bought a FlyLady book, Sink Reflections for $.75 cents and it's now at $7.00 and I have 15 watchers, lol.

    Off to list more stuff!

The last time I looked at ebay I didn't see much selling. I sold on ebay khogan for a couple of years. I quit due to the number of viruses going around. I didn't get rich by the time I paid for everything. Nice to know there is still money to be made.

A couple of years ago I cherry-picked a bunch of art books at an estate sale, and by the time I was done selling them off on half.com and ebay, I think I netted about $300. Only paid about $17.

The best thing that my DH did was go buy about three pair of Levis at Goodwill for about 3 dollars and went to a consignment shop and sold them for almost 30.00... Not much, but when pay day is almost three day away and you need diapers it was like winning the lottery.... LOLOLOL
