Question Does Anyone Sell "Worldwide" On Ebay?

I'm considering opening up my auctions to "Worldwide". So far I only ship to Canada and sometimes Japan. I've got the Customs forms figured out. Do you have significantly more sells? Or is it more of a pain to sell worldwide? Any comments are welcome.

Carolyn, I've sold worldwide but with the exception of China and Indonesia. There are far too many rackets operating in those countries to make it worthwhile.

I've sold to America, Canada, Japan, UK and Germany. Even with the countries not speaking English, they send their emails in English so you don't have a great problem communicating. With all those sales I only ever accepted PayPal , never cheque, cash or direct debit.

    Good luck.

Thanks Rhonda. I'm going to try listing 1 item open to Canada, UK, Germany, Australia, and Japan. I couldn't sell the item in the US, tried twice, but saw the same item sell to someone in Germany so I'm going to give it a try.

I've never sold anywhere outside the US simply because of the hassle involved. I like to keep it simple

I am interested in hearing how much better people do by offering to ship everywhere

I ship overseas, worldwide without any problems. Shipping worldwide does increase your market. It's not too much of a bother, you just have to fill out one customs form.

We ship to the U.K or Canada but that's it. We got burned by Pay-Pal in some scam last year with a buyer in Germany to the tune of $100. So for us, it's not worth it.

Even though my auctions say US only,I'll ship elsewhere if someone emails and asked me to,which has happened.
And I have had people bid and not ask,and me find out after the auction ends, and they pay thru paypal the shipping cost I have listed and it be more, then you have to email them and say it's this much more and some people get mad
I only except paypal from these bidders to.

I changed a bunch of my auctions to sell in several other Countries. But, this morning I changed them back, LOL. I got scared after reading a lot of stuff on the community boards at ebay. I just don't need the stress right now of a deal falling through or having problems. Maybe later I will try again. Shopgirl, I wish I had your nerve!
