    Talking Supplementing Our Income...10/15-10/21

I thought it would be fun to challenge ourselves this week to see how much extra income we can bring in.

I've got about 20 items up on ebay and am selling 3 so far for $11.27.

I plan on going back to check on a temp holiday job at Family Dollar and see if they are hiring yet. The manager told me Friday to check back next week so I'm going to. Won't make much I'm sure but it would be good to be able to pay some bills and maybe even buy some inexpensive gifts.

What's your plan? Inquiring minds want to know. LOL

    This week I've got:

    Monday: Piano Lesson - $25
    Wednesday: Tutoring - $40
    Thursday: Homework Tutorial - $25
    Friday: Piano - $33

Total: $123 (it doesn't all come in at once, though because tutoring and homework tutorial pay at the end of the month...also, last week I didn't feel well on Wednesday or Friday and cancelled tutoring and piano those days...this week, no matter how I feel, I gotta do it.)

I too have items on eBay--33 of them now selling at $94.31 with 3 days to go. I'm hoping these particular items will bring in about $240. We'll see!

    Listing some books/videos at half.com.

Trading for coupons I need. It doesn't bring in money, but it sure saves alot!

Selling off some of my fabric stash, sewing supplies, notions, etc.

I'm also looking for a FT job or (preferably) a PT one with mother's hours so I don't need to pay for before or after school care.

This is a good thread to get going again. I noticed that last month I saved money, but I didn't make a lot of money. I'm going to put a few more things on ebay tonight. I've got quite a few things on right now, but so far not a lot of interest-yet. The items are a little pricey, but if they sell this week...that will be marvelous!

I've got a couple of items on ebay. I am making some fuzzy scarves to give as door prizes at our Mom's group meeting in the hopes that I can get some holiday sales. I got a refund on an item I didn't receive from an ebay seller and while it's not really income, the $33 comes in handy!

I have worked two jobs for the last 2 years. My dh works 2 during the summer. During the summer we find with the extra money that we bring in we can pay something off. I put mine into a savings account then take so much out to pay on a cc. Last year we paid off my truck. This year we are tring to pay off 2 cc. One year we paid off our home. Everything that we own has a very low payment. With the execption of the cc. Then for the months of Jan. Feb and March I am laid off from one and get my hours cut from the other. It is a nice break when I do that. I put in 60 to 65 hours a week.
