market research companies
I will be doing my 2nd market research in 2 weeks, the 1st one paid me $60 cash for about 1.5 hrs of my time. I was really happy, with how easy & smooth it all went. They've called me back for a 2nd one paying $200 cash for 8 hrs. of my time. I accepted, this extra money is being put towards debt. so it might be worth your time to look into something like this.

Two companies I have done paid market research studies for are Delve and Fieldwork. Both of these companies have offices in several major cities around the country. You need to call and register with them in order to be considered for studies. You provide them with background information, age, income, kids ages, types of cars you drive, whether or not you have cell phones, if you smoke, etc. I have also been called recently by a company called Informa, I think, who told me their name had changed recently, but I don't know who they used to be, or how they got my name. I didn't qualify for any of the studies they had available currently.
Then they call you when they have a study you might qualify for to screen you. If you meet the criteria, you are invited to participate and are paid for attendance. Pay varies from study to study. My son participated in one and got a $35 Best Buy gift card; my daughter and I participated in one and got $40 each to test a board game. Sometimes they involve taste testing (did a butter study once); sometimes they are opinions. Have done diaper studies, toilet paper testing (really!) and more, over the years. Also once got an Eddie Bauer $100 gift certificate. That was sweet, especially since I showed up and they didn't need me. (In that case, you still get paid, but don't have to stay for the study. They tend to overbook, because not everyone who says they will show up does, but they need a certain number to attend.)
If anyone has any questions, I would be glad to try and answer.

Seems like here in Texas, the Dallas-Ft WOrth area gets all of the stuff like this. I'm still on the lookout for things in San Antonio though...
