How I have been adding to my income!
Since I have been unemployed I have been adding to my income almost weekly. Someone from another group told me about a local sales and barter group on Yahoo. So I signed up. It is great.
You post what you have for sale, people answer and come and pick it up and hand you cash. No shipping and no Ebay or Paypal fees.
Some of the things I have sold:
Clothes - my son's
Old computer
Tupperware
Books
candles
Ipod (got one cheap at Aldis and made a 15.00 profit on it)
Shoes
These are the things I can think of off the top of my head.
My biggest sale was on Ebay. I had an old Kool Aid glass pitcher that you sent in Kool Aid points to Kraft. It sold for 122.50.
This has helped me get bills current, pay for Christmas and other little odds and ends.
I am amazed at the stuff I have around this house to sell. I am going to keep selling till we are done. Great way for me to get extra cash and declutter my house at the same time.
I also answered an ad from a lady looking for a cheap kennel to take her dog for the weekend. I agreed to go let him out and now I get the money instead of the kennel. Not a lot of money but not a lot of work either. Plus it all helps.
Starting now any money I make selling stuff goes right on the cc till it is paid off. I am only 149.50 away from paying that puppy off.

That's I'm selling everything! lol
Actually, I have quite a few things but have been so daunted by the task that I was too afraid. I'll just dabble in it and see what happens.

Someone in the city that I chat with told me about it. But I am sure if you do a seach on yahoo for your city.
Ours is called Milwaukee Sales and Barter.
I belong to the sales and barter, free cycle and another called Milwaukee Cafe. That is more of a chat group.
However I did find on the cafe group someone looking for a Kennel cheap to watch her dog. I offered to do it. Let it out 2 times a day and feed it once a day. She paid me 40.00. It was not much work and I could walk to her house from mine.
So this weekend. I made 88.00. Selling a old computer, dog sitting and selling some shirt.
Also I have a pick up tomorrow for another 10.00.
I figure at this rate my house will be cleaned out and my credit card will get paid off too.
I personally go for the Sales and barter over Ebay unless I know Ebay will bring in more money. There is no shipping or fees with the Sales and Barter. Just cash!

Your doing a great job. You just gave me inspiration. I have alot of stuff to get rid of and I never thought of looking on the internet to see if we had a freecyle here or something on yahoo. My dh is cleaning his side of the computer room out. I told him not to throw anything way that we can make money with. lol
Thank youMaggi

Good for you for finding a creative way to knock out all that debt. You are so close to your goal and it's going to feel really good when it is finally gone.
