I've done a couple and they were. I did a secret shop at a Walmart optical. My dmom got a new pair of bifocals for about $10 (b/c of the add ons like scratch resistance).
I don't care for the fast food shops....they require a stop watch and have pages and pages of feedback.....

I've shopped for Shop n Check. That's the only company to date.

    Thanks Prairie Rose,
I keep getting the emails for them and it would be something I could do for a little extra merchandise...
I am just afraid to get in the wrong one...
I do do my survey but it takes forever to make $10.00

I have done secret shopping for 5 years. If you are getting emails then they want you to pay to get on a list. It is usually $25. If you go to Volition.com they have listings of the companies that do secret shopping/merchandising. You can go directly on the companies website and sign up with that company directly without having to pay anyone a fee. Also Volition has feedbacks on each company so that you can see if they are worth shopping for. Right now there are about 5 companies that are having payment issues. Good luck

I have done them in the past, and found them to be not really worth the time and energy I had to put into them. So much paperwork for a few dollars. It was not a satisfying experience for me.

Hi! I have mystery shopped & enjoy it. I did one the other day for a Subway. It didn't take long. I had to order a sub (they reimbursed me $5.00 and I could reveal myself after I ordered and then I had to look around the store. It took about 20 minutes and then entered the info into the computer which took another 10 minutes. I also got $10.00 for doing the job. Someone mentioned the Violation website and this is a great site. I found a great site on there which is Greet America. With them I am a subcontractor and have been doing surveys at grocery stores. I get paid mileage and about $20.00 for doing the job. It does involve more than a mystery shop as you have to take pictures and do inventory but still only takes a couple of hours, so it isn't too bad. I try to make the mystery shopping work for me by doing more than one at the same time to save the cost of gas. There are some jobs I haven't done as all you get is $8.00 and it takes 2 hours so not worth it. But otherwise it can be a good thing. Good Luck!
