Does drop shipping for ebay really work for you?

Good morning to everyone,
I was wondering if anyone sells on ebay for a company who does the drop shipping for you ? I often wonderd if this is a nice way to make some extra money for the household. I just have a funny feeling that it is just a scam.

Drop shipping is not a good idea in my opinion. It is done alot but when you are listing and using your ebay reputation you could end up with some dissatified customers and a poor reputation by using a drop shipper. You could also end up suspended by ebay because if you get too many reports against you for not having the item for sale or sent within a timely manner, you will get booted.

Some companies are ok but lots of them will have you list the item and then when you receive a bid the shipper sends a report that they are out of stock! Sometimes you have to back out of the whole sale and other times you make the buyer wait and they are not happy! Unless you have found a great company who garauntees their delivery dates, I would not sign up with one. Also, if you go read on the Community Forums and the Answer Center you will see that drop shipping is almost a dirty word.

You are better off finding your own items to sell either around the house, thrift stores, or yard sales. Anything you think you could make atleast a $5.00 profit off of would be a good item to list.
