Mystery Shopper Sites??
For those of you who have had success as a mystery shopper, i am looking for legitimate sites to try it out. If you could post the sites you'd recommend, I would greatly appreciate it.
I am in a bind right now and desperately seeking a way to bring in some extra $$ to pay off some debts. I do have full time work that keeps my schedule tight, but if I could fit something in here and there around my schedule, I'd love tor try. Thanks!

Go to www.volition.com. This is a site that actually lists the companies that do mystery shopping. It also links to where you can apply to be a mystery shopper for each company. It is free. There is also a message board that lets you know which companies to avoid due to slow/no payments.

Volition is good for finding jobs, but I would not bother registering...you do not need to register to look for jobs...
MSFreedom is a great forum to ask questions and talk with like minded people!
MSPA is the site to get silver certified- some contorversy about whether is is necessary. I am silver certified, and will get the gold when it comes to my town. The MSFreedom forum has a list of shopper websites that you can sign up for, then they send out emails when shops are available...

Is there any specific company that you would recommend. You hear crazy things about how some of them are scams. Which ones have you had good experience with?
Thanks for your help.

Second to None does mostly Starbucks shops, which pay well, but are a lot of work compared to some other shops I've done. (If you have teenagers, they occasionally have some good shops for kids to try and buy M or R rated games/movies. DS made $40 that way.) They pay via PayPal, so you have to have a PayPal account to work for them. ICCDS (ICC Decision Services) seems okay...I have only done a couple of shops for them. Some of their shops pay low and ask for a lot. (I'm not spending a half hour in a store, buying and returning something, and then spending 25 minutes filling out a survey for $8.) For restaurant shops, I like Bestmark. They pay pretty quickly, but by check. (If you PM me your zip code, I can tell you what sorts of shops they have in your area.) Mostly what I have done for them is reimbursement for meals we've eaten out, so I don't 'make' any money, but DH and I get most or all of a meal paid for. Shoppers Critique is legitimate, but I have not gotten many shops from them. (One good one to get my oil changed, though.)
They're all pretty slow to pay, frankly, but I think Second to None is getting better. I think they pay on the 15th of the month for the previous month, but I wouldn't swear to it.
Good luck!

Also try ShopnChek. They are very good. They pay on time and they have shops that you don't have to buy anything. They are a little picky on the quality, but I like them.

I love Trendsource.
I also did an audit for test track research, but it took them a loooong time to pay me.
Service Sleuths is another.
You can find a list on the Volition forum.
MSFreedom forum has MSP shop grades too and a MSP list. That forum is my forum of choice. Very nice people and very helpfull.
