I've done it in the past but honestly there are very few that pay anymore and you'll put in HOURS for just a few dollars. I do still belong to one that I earn maybe $2.00 a month from my downline.
The biggest problem is all the junk you'll end up with on your computer, they're just full of nasty spyware and viruses.

These are the two that I use. It takes a long while to build up enough $ to cash in, but I figure it's worth it when it gives me something to do when I can't sleep
I have never had a problem, but I do have good spy-ware installed.

I was using inboxdollars...but in over 6 months of clicking & referring, I still only have like 22 cents!! Plus the $5 start up. But you have to have $10 before they'll even send you money. At this rate, it'll take me YEARS to get $10.
I like MyPoints.com
I've used them for nearly 7 years now. Rather than getting $$, you get points. Rack up the points and redeem them for gift certificates to their merchants. This is how dh & I pay for our yearly anniversary dinners at Red Lobster or Olive Garden

I've been in a few off and on for the past few years - mostly they're pyramid schemes, and I usually got paid once or twice before they disappeared. It also seems to be on the way out - in the beginning, paid to surf programs were the way to go - then reward programs - then paid to read email - then paid to click - and last I checked, paid to promote was the latest thing.
Now I only stick with two rewards programs - MyPoints (like Heather) and CreationsRewards. MyPoints I generally get enough from clicking on emails to get (2) $25 Bath and Body Works GC's per year - or last year, I got (3) $10 Borders cards I gave as Christmas presents. CreationsRewards is only worth it for online shopping, but they credit very quickly. I make about $25 per year from just shopping (I don't bother with the daily site vists, or free trial registrations).
Another site I belong to but haven't been active with in months is ItPaysToLearn. You have to take quizzes to qualify for cash, but I was always able to make $.50-$1 per month with them. I eventually decided it wasn't worth my time, so I haven't been there in about a year.Loving wife to DH (8/31/03) and Mommy to Owen Alexander (9/20/06) and Oliver Andrew (5/25/12)

Inbox$ has increased their cashout to minimum of $30. I have been doing it for a long time, but all I do is click on like 1 email per day.
I am doing Dealbarbiepays, and I earned $25 since just joining yesterday--that's no typo
