Can you tell me the the avarage price for one hour of tutoring either math or Physics

That would depend on where you are going to be living. Where I live tutors make $50 an hour but I know its much less in other areas. It would be best to ask someone in the area you will be living.

Sometimes Homeschool Associations will hire a tutor for kids that are learning Physics and other higher math classes. Check them out too!

Your earning potential depends on where you live. I make $50 an hour tutoring and teaching piano lessons, but my college roommate in Ohio makes $15 an hour tutoring. I have no idea what the rate would be in Sri Lanka. Good luck!

I lived near UNM for a few yrs. It's changed a lot since I was there, but I can answer basic questions about the area.

In the winter, it is cold, gets down to freezing. Hardly ever snows, and when it does - we can't drive in it. But then it usually melts within an hour or so, cause it only snows an inch. Usually. Last winter it was so dry - so little moisture in the air, that I didn't even have to scrape my car windows. Never saw that. We have been having a very rainy summer, which is also unusual. There has been some flooding in Albuquerque. That is not typical though, and only in certain areas of town.
Summer temperatures usually around the 90's, winter from the 30's to the 60s, windy springs. Don't usually turn the heater on until around November.
Don't know that I can compare the cost of living to other states, cause I just live here. I can usually buy the groceries I need (single) for about $100/month, maybe $125.00.
You can do a yahoo Search for Albuquerque apartments to see rental rates - it would not let me post a link.
Albuquerque and around the University is a high crime area. But a lot of the crime is related to gang activity and that sort of thing, so can avoid a lot of it by staying out of certain neighborhoods. There are certain neighborhoods a bit close to the University that have drug dealers, etc. But I think that is probably the case around most Universities in the United States. My neighborhood, has not had any crime in years, for instance.
New Mexico is pretty culturally diverse. Heavily hispanic, and I think you shouldn't feel uncomfortable being Asian.
Here is a link to the Daily Lobo, the university newspaper. Again, you can do a yahoo search - it would not let me post the link.
Will you be applying in Math and Stats, or Physics and Astronomy?

After I wrote that I drove to the gym, and I do have to add that the view of the mountains in the background beyond the golf course was just spectacular and we do have some really beautiful sunsets.

Went to high school in Roswell. Even now, living in South Florida, I can say that the most beautiful sunsets are in NM. Same for sunrises. All the dust in the atmosphere makes unbelievable colors and patterns in the sky.
In Albuquerque, the sun behind the Sandia mountains is quite spectacular. And in the winter, there's something peaceful about being nestled inside the mountains when there's snow.
That said, if you don't like cold weather, you will not like it! We had to wear our coats 2/3 of the school year. And in the hot months, it gets unbearably hot.

Well as someone who just caved in and bought a coat after 5 years (how cheap am I?), I don't think I suffered too drastically. I would wear a hat and gloves if it was really cold and a sweater, and I had a 10 minute walk from my car to my office. I will admit it was cold at 7:30 in the morning, but during the day, it was manageable. We are a very sunny place. I will also say that I only wore my newly purchased coat about 5 times before I left it home because it was too much trouble. And the true winter only lasts from about mid November to end of February.
In the summer it does get to high 90's some times for protracted periods of time, but there is virtually no humidity - except now as we are having one of those odd flooding rainstorms, but we are no Phoenix or Death Valley in CA, or even Las Vegas.
