I would like to sign up to do some mystery shops, but I am concerned about giving people my SS#. For people who have signed up..how do you feel about this? And.. what company's do you think are good to sign up with?
thanks!

The SS# is so the MSP's can keep track of the $$ that you make.
I would go to the Mystery Shopper Provider Assiocation website to find assignments, and visit their forum too!
I feel ok giving out my SS# since it is just like applying for any other job who will be paying money.
I like:
Trendsource
Insula Research
GFK
TNS
Service Sleuth
There are alot of MSP companies out there., these are only a few I can think of-
I am a part time shopper!

Thank you. I'll start looking into those. I would like to do it part time too.. Maybe one or two a week to supplement income and put more $$ toward debt. PLus, gas is so expensive, I need to supplement the amount we budgeted for!!

That's great! Does it pay good to do the mystery shopping?
I will have to go and look around for the link!

I did one at a bowling alley. I get reimbursed for 2 games,2pair of shoes, food that we ate and then 12 dollars for the shop. We ended up taking our kids, and I paid for them with a buy one get one free coupon, so all said and done I made only 6 dollars instead of the 12..but it was a 3 hour night out for the four of us and I made 6 bucks in the process.

Check these boards. They have lists of lots of mystery shopping companies. I have done many different shops. Some pay well, some pay little. Some are strictly reimbursement. It is fun.

Make sure that the web site you are on is a https website. That way you know it is a secure website. I will never give my ss on one that is not. Some I just put call me in the box and it goes through just fine.
