Starting a new at home business tomorrow.
Woo hoo, super duper excited about this one. I had a Slumber Parties Party here last night and had a blast. This is the second one I have beento, first one I hosted, and I gotta say it was so much fun. I am not going to do Slumber Parties, but I am going to do a different company. And I already have a party lined up! And what's more...hubby thinks its a great plan, lol.

Enjoy Missy! My experience with home party businesses is that if you treat it like a business you can build it as big as you can handle
(I sold Home Interiors for a few years...kept me quite busy!)

I did Princess House and raked in and had lots of home crystal items. Which company are you trying? Wishing you success.

Holy cow, I saw a princess House candy dish ( i was told it was PH..) and it was gorgeous.
I will be doing Brown Bag Parties...it's a grown up party company...(might be what DH thinks is so great about it) They are alot like Slumber Parties. But have a wider variety of products. I'll have a website of my own for it and all that stuff later in the week. My sign up day is tomorrow.

Very cool!! Good Luck!
I've tried a few different at home party companies - but I haven't had much luck with any - Avon was the best of all my tried, but when we moved (about an hour away) the area was flooded w/ other Avon reps so I gave up
I also tried Tupperware, I love the products but I suck at the home parties (I'm too shy)
my latest attempt was At Home America, which I thought the products would sell themselves since it's sooo cool, but when I got the starter package -- I almost puked -- EVERYTHING was MADE IN CHINA -- now HOW am I supposed to support THAT?!?
oh well, I'll find my niche - let me know what you think of the brown bag - that sounds really fun!! I have been to similar parties - (of the adult type) and I love them! They are so much fun! That's something I haven't looked into --- yet

Good luck Missy! I am having fun with the Tupperware. Notice I said "having fun" not "making money". LOL. I could be making a little bit, but I keep spending my profits (they are not very big) on more Tupperware for me! I got a rectangular cake taker today as a recruiting award. I am getting a nice collection going.

LOL, Deb I do the same thing with Avon. It's easy to do. Great job on recruiting another person. That's super cool. I hope to recruit some for this company. It should be bunches of fun.

I did Avon for a while too. One way I promote my Tupperware business, is whenever I am invited to any type of gathering, I ALWAYS bring a food item in Tupperware! Like I will bring homemade salsa and chips in the chip and dip server. I always tell everyone how easy the salsa was to make in my Tupperware QuickChef, and that the Tupperware Chef Series Southwest Chipotle seasoning is what gives it such a great flavor! It is all about creating desire for the products. It has much more impact than just showing the catalog.
Of course, with "adult" products, your approach might have to be a little different. LOL. Can you imagine going to a family gathering and saying "Hey Uncle Ed, come here and lick some of this flavored massage oil and tell me what you think!"

ROFL, yeah that would be bad. Really bad, lol.
I am getting the Tupperware stuffables as my gift from the party I had. Love em, they are so cool, and their color goes great with my kitchen!
I have used one of their products that have dual use. They have a product that is meant to numb a certain area. It has benzocane (sp? ) in it. My youngest had a splinter in his foot that was driving him nuts. He wouldn't let us get it because it hurt. His doc appt wasn't for a few days. So we numbed the spot up with this stuff and he didn't even notice up getting the splinter. LOL. still hard to promote at the family christmas dinner.~~ Missy ~~
