Ebay buyers..
It really pays to start a dispute if your stuff never arrives
I had ordered stuff in Nov and never heard another thing - the buyer just took my money and never sent stuff - this is the first time I have ever had a problem with getting stuff on ebay.
anyway I filed a dispute and within a couple of days they have given me the full amount back! Im really happy - it wasnt a fortune by any means LOL so I was surprised to get it back.
just to let you know if you have a problem then it is worth persuing!

I have filed two disputes over the past few years. The first one I was given all of my money back. The second one, my stuff magically appeared within a few days with a postmark showing it was mailed the day after I filed the dispute. Paypal is great about getting these type of things taken care of.
Glad you got your money back!!!DD (19)

I guess I've been lucky so far ~ I've never had an issue ((knocking on wood))
I've had to use the Paypal Help & Ebay Help as a seller though - for the non-profit name I sell under (fourleggedfriendzy) , and it was a complete PAIN! Ebay Live Help was okay, but Paypal sucked!! Every email that I sent was responded to by a different person, so I had to start all over each time - I finally called on the phone & had the issue resolved - so in the end, it was good, but it took a long time to get there.Don't Breed or Buy While Shelter Pets Die

Glad it worked out for you. In our case we were the seller & we got stiffed for $100 & the product. It did NOT work out and I remain bitter against Pay-pal to this day, although we still use the service. Live and learn, and become cynical, I guess.

I've told this story on here before but I don't remember where. So, for those who have heard me complain - sorry to repeat myself!
We hadn't been selling very long. It was a Star Wars toy that sold for $100, shipped to Germany. The guy paid via pay-pal, all was fine. Then he said he never got it. The post office said he did but Pay-pal gave the guy his money anyway since we did not have a tracking number (which you cannot get to Germany). The post office had proof that it was delivered but it was not good enough for Pay-pal. So we lost the toy (from Philip's childhood collection) & the money. We no longer ship internationally because of this and we require insurance & a tracking number if the item sells for a certain amount of money. I can't remember all the details but it was highly aggravating to say the least! Like I said, live and learn...

That is terrible!!! I am so sorry this happened to you.
We also refuse to ship internationally for that reason. I also try not to buy from sellers outside the US because the shipping takes so long - I am impatient. (But I did buy my niece a dvd box set last week from a seller in Germany - I will feel better when it arrives since it cost over $150. Keeping my fingers crossed). I actually will only ship to the continental 48 states. I have made one exception and shipped to Hawaii one time. I have not been doing much selling lately. However, when I do sell I include delivery confirmation with every sale(at no chagre since I do not pay for it), giving the buyer the # as soon as the shipping label is printed. Do you print your own postage? We do and I love it this way - makes shipping so much easier than going to post office every few days. I was reluctant at first, but DH convinced me when he showed me that you get DC for free.DD (19)

I don't ship overseas either. I use delivery confirmation for everything I ship even if it's under $5.00. I had to prove dc recently and was glad that I had that information to give.

I lost a PayPal claim a few months ago for 125 dollars, as a buyer. A seller sent me a rare silkscreened poster that was listed as mint condition with no creases, stains, tears, etc. They sent me a totally damaged and worthless poster. PayPal told me that I had to get an appraisal as to how much it would cost to fix it as well as an appraisal as to what damage it had. I called SO MANY "experts" and I was quoted anywhere from 65-120 dollars just for them to conduct the appraisal. I couldn't afford that for a poster and I wasn't about to spend more than half or more than what I originally paid just to have it appraised with no guarantee I'd get my money back.
PayPal sided with the seller because I couldn't afford an appraisal. My credit card company gave me a credit, but just a few weeks ago my credit card company put the charge back on my credit card because PayPal contacted them and told them the issue had been settled. So, I'm out 125 dollars and was stuck with a junked poster that I ended up just giving away for considerably less than what I paid.
The seller is no longer registered on Ebay. She ended up screwing over at least 2 other people that I know of. Everyone of us was a poster collector and posted on the same message board... it really stinks to lose a claim even though you know that you are in the right.
