Talking Open House Party Today -- I'm a little nervous

well, thanks to Missy, I joined the BBP team!!

so far I'm having alot of fun.... I'm having a big open house type of party this afternoon.... mostly friends, but also strangers believe it or not, I have a tendency to be shy .... so I'm a bit nervous with the idea of the 'unknowns'

My goal - I'll be happy if I make one sale, but I do hope for at least 3 people to book a party & a few sales -- if not, that's alright... it's all in the name of fun

I have 5 'goodie' bags that are for sale, I hope to sell at least 3 of them...

I'm going to have small munchies, like vegis/fruit/cheese/crackers - (you ever notice how people tend to hang out around the food) I thought this way, people would be more comfortable.

the house is clean (downstairs anyway) and the dogs are going to stay upstairs - (I have one very friendly pup & one NOT friendly pup)

My mom is helping me with the set up (via telephone) but she isn't able to attend (she's my babysitter) I don't think she would have been comfortable being here anyway, and I can totally understand that!

thanks for letting me blaa...blaa...blaa... I guess I must be blue because I miss my hubby and he's always around to talk to about this type of thing & to help with everything (then I'm sure he'd dissappear when ladies started to show , so it's nice to be able to blaa...blaa...blaa...

anyway, please wish me luck .... and I'm off to chop some vegis

I'm betting you are going to be sore from all the laughing and giggling you all are gonna do. Hope you get all the sales you want & then some. Have fun!!

Good luck on your party. I'd be nervous too but I'm the type who stresses on having people in her home. You'll do fine.

You are gonna be fantastic, I just know it!!

I had my party. It almost didn't happen. The hostess was in a foul mood. Her sister and sis's friends almost didn't go. And one other person backed out. However the sis and sis's friends did go, and one other person. Started over an hour late. So with the hostess, 5 in all. The sis had a seizure (sugar induced she said- said it happens all the time) but it was mild, and she insisted we keep going because she was "having fun" . Well, ok then party finished and everyone ordered. Which was great. totalled about 350. Not too shabby for the way the night was going.

so now I'm off to RE-mop the kitchen floor AGAIN - (it's still really muddy outside & the dogs HAD to go potty)

and if I can keep the devil pup AWAY from the pulsa-sponge-thingy I'll have it made! I put it up, she keeps jumping up to get to it - she thinks it's a toy!!
hmmm.... maybe I should turn it ON!

Sounds like it went well. I am sure once you got going it was great. It takes a lot to get up in front of people. Good for you!!
