Wink Help me brainstorm, Ladies! (bumplett, look too! )

I need to come up with ideas of places in which to advertise. Remembering what kind of business I have, I can't go advertising willy nilly. I have to be careful and respectful in the way I advertise and so on. Here's where I have advertised. Can you think of other places/ideas?

    My car:

seems obvious, a window decal that says simply " Brown Bag Parties by Missy and my email address" I don't want strangers tracking me down by my phone # so i won't put that up until i have a new pay as you go cell.

    Bulletin boards:
    Grocery store
    Shopping Centers
    Gyms

    craig's list
    local craig's list style board
    thrifty nickel
    newspaper

    what else??

    day spas?
    beauty parlors?
    wedding shops?
    nail salons?

where else can you think of?

I bought new business cards too. Vista print. They should be in soon. I want to find a clever way to give them the "wow" / "how clever" factor.

Anyone feel like brainstorming some ideas?

I didn't know what a brown bag party was until I followed your link. I'm really stumped on this one.

I would do wedding shops. You could do bachorlette parties! Do you have any biker clubs there, I know for a fact that they love those parties!!!!

I'd say all of those are good ideas. Perhaps you could talk to some other consultants and find out what type of advertising works best for them?

Go into the biker bars and hang flyers.

I only know this because we are bikers!

A local MOMS Club? I know the group I was in did spa nights, and I'd bet some would do adult parties, too.

Someone once gave me a business card for her scrapbooking business at McDonald's... it was folded inside a mini card- cardstock double the size of her business card. I can't remember exactly what it said, but I know there was a discount if you mentioned the card. I remember thinking at the time it was a cute way to make people notice her business cards.

    Talking BB party ideas

I am on MySpace and I actually just had someone 2 days ago send me a little note about her parties (I forget which company she did right now, but same type as Brown Bag parties). Anyway, she just sent me a note because she lived in the same area as me and let me know that she does "toy" parties and so forth in a very mild matter of fact kind of way that she is local and so forth and to contact her if I was interested. It was not spam so I am not quite sure if she just did a search for local women in her area or what. My point behind all my yammering here is, if my best friend had not just started Passion Parties I probably would have had a party with her just from her sending me that little note. Also, it was a great way to give her my Home Demonstrator inof. on my parties to do a little networking. Also, another idea might be to get with another consultant like Tupperware, Mary Kay, etc. and do a party swap with them to get your parties on the map with another group of women or do a group party either at one of your houses or get a cheap hall (if you can get with a few other reps). About a month ago, I saw that someone here did that, she had about 5 different reps that all got together for a day at the local VFW hall and sold their wares together like a craft fair you can advertise cheaply in your local paper as well as to your current clients and hosts. Ok, I swear yammering over, hope this helps.
