Sherry, there is a book called "ebaY" and it starts from the very beginning when it was called or referred to as Auctionweb. I learned so much.

There is a woman who started her own shipping supplies business because she took a chance and ordered a TRACTOR TRAILER LOAD of packing peanuts!!!!! Anyway, she made a hefty profit from the beginning just soliciting ebaY customers and is still in business today.

I was looking the other day and was amazed at some of the things people were selling.

We make a very good living during the fall selling our own robotic duck decoys. Dave figured out how to make them through trial and error and this will be our 3rd year at it. We sell them from $25-50 + S&H each depending on the type of decoy. We do real well. I just wish it wasn't seasonal.

If you think about it there are alot of money making ideas available. Just have to hit the right one.

Sherry, I'm guessing that they are used during duck hunting? Have you thought about other "seasons" that you could make decoys for?

Btw, does Dave know anything about fly fishing lures? That is year-round and I have seen it done on TV and it doesn't look like it takes a rocket scientist to do it.

    Just a thought.

We did manufacture fishing tackle for several years... just recently sold all of our equipment. Needed the money and it was just sitting around. The fishing tackle business was ok... but it was hard to sell. There are so many big tackle manufacturers out there that can sell things so cheap, it hurts us little guys. Even though our stuff is so much better quality, they buy cheap.
We tied all kinds of jigs. Never got into fly jigs though, costs alot for all of the different materials and things. I always wanted to try it, though. I asked Dave several times to let me take classes or study up with books. But he didn't want to get into it.
