Dispossessories are heartbreaking

We had to re-possess our rental house from a couple last week. It was very rough on them and on us. The judge was kind but firm and I had to put on a poker face. That was tough!!

But it came down to a uquestion of was I willing to pay for someone to continue living in our house???

I was a landlord and I know this is rough. But it's a business. If you were a zillionaire, maybe you could afford to support another family. And you don't WANT the rent, you NEED the rent. The bank won't feel so bad if it's you not paying the mortgage!

We had to take back a house we sold on a lease option. We hated taking it back,we even tried lowering the payment so they could still get it. One of them had lost a good paying job and they didn't see themselves getting close to the income and making the payment, even the reduced amount. They were moving back to the wifes sisters house but we still felt bad for them.

My parents were in this situation and after the tenants moved out they got abusive and told everyone in their small town that my parents were greedy etc. My parents are not greedy and not wealthy either, they had a mortgage to pay on the property and luckily everyone in town realised that my parents were not the bad guys.
