Thumbs up Avoiding the Post Office To Mail Your Packages.

I no longer have to go to the post office to mail packages!

When we were without a vehicle and I had ebay packages to mail I asked my rural postal deliery person if she could help and she was more than willing.

I now put the red flag up and put a note in the box that says "I have a package at the house for pickup that is too large for the box." I did this about 5 times and even the substitute/weekend delivery person came to the house for pickup. Yes, you can call in for a pickup but that's only if you have 1'st Class or Priority Mail packages and I usually have Media Mail and Parcel Post packages.

Just thought I'd pass this along in case it helped someone else. It sure will save on gas and trips to the post office and you could get your packages mailed faster and sometimes even the same day the buyer paid. I do all of my weighing and postage online using the money that the ebay buyer paid me into Paypal so it works out well and I've never had a package returned or note sent that I owed extra postage.

Oops, that was supposed to go under a new post but I think it could still apply here.

Sorry for taking over your thread Amy.

I know you're going to do great selling on ebay. Good Luck!
