Default twice a year consign sales anyone?

Do any of you do the twice a year tag sales in your town?
I have been making more and more each time I do these.
It's once in Jan and once in August etc..

You tag everything, they sell it in 3 days, then you pick up whats left or dontate it at the end of the 3 days.

I'm dreading organizing & tagging.... it all this next week, but I love the check when it comes ahhaahahah.

yep, I've done it twice - it's just soooo much time to get ready for them - the hangers have to face a certain way, the tags have to be pinned in a certain spot - ugg!

    but the $$ was fantastic!!

We only have them for baby/toddler/maternity clothing here. I did it once. The money was good, but it was soooo much work. We had to pay a $5 seller's fee up front and only got 40% of the selling price.

I let my leftovers go to what the organizer said was charity. I later found out the "charity" was her. She took the leftovers and sold them at her own yard sale. That kind of ticked me off. I thought my unsold items were going to something like Goodwill or some other non-profit organization.

There is a church in town that does a baby, toddler, and childrens Consignement sale at their church 2 times a year.

I will be watching carefully for them to do another ,because they had awsome deals there. I got a crib, sealy crib matress, onsies, shirts, outfits, socks, infant carseat, on chest carrier, basenett all for $95. Not everything i needed but Dang the prices were unreal.

They even had a gentleman with a truck there delivering larger items for people who only had cars. He refused gas money, saying he was only happy he could help.

Honestly the prices there were to good to really make any money, but the quality of the clothes seemed to me to scream RICH PEOPLE. A lot of name brand never used baby clothes.

I've only shopped them, lol. I think I'd probably make about the same posting to our local garage sale site or CL or even my playgroup. I need to go through what we have here. Lots of outgrown stuff
