How do these online survey places work
So how do these online places work? I mean like Cashcrate and what other ones are out there? I need to make some money. Does anyone have any idea's on how to bring in some cash? I am working for my friend once a week helping her as a grooming assistant, but that doesn't bring in much money, and it's far away from my house. The benefit there is she's my best friend, and I get to spend the day with her and I get to be with animals! Which is great. The down side is it's 50 miles from my house. I do get the groom the dogs, I love the drive, and I am learning the skill of dog grooming for FREE. Which if I go to a dog grooming school thats 6,000.00 right there. My DH doesn't like me driving 50 miles one way with the price of gas as high as it is. so I only go one day a week. But I sort of think its a great deal. I get paid to learn, I can also make dog treats to sell in her shop, and I have been also thinking about learning how to do pet massage. But until I am ready, I need to also bring in more cash. So, How do these online survey places work, do you just answer questions? or what? And, what other idea's might you all have for earning money?
Thanks

I do online survey sites, but don't make much money. My best year (because I used to be really picky and keep track) I made $215 all year.
A lot of survey sites are for raffles or drawings. The ones that pay are usually $1 or $2. You basically just take a survey on your computer - click the button type answers, usually, although some are questions that ask you to type an actual response. They are usually about new products that companies are thinking of selling. Another bonus from survey sites is that you can often qualify for product tests, which even if they don't pay, you usually (not always) get to keep the product - I've gotten tons of free lotions, etc. this way.
Everyone has their own list of sites that they do well with - my philosophy has been to sign up with every site I find and after a few months if I'm not doing well (never get any surveys, or tons of surveys but no money/prizes/incentives) I just leave the site. I also prioritize sites - I have a separate email account for surveys that I check every few days, and when there are 50 email surveys, I don't have time for all of them.
My personal favorites are:
Viewpoint Forum
MySurvey
Synovate
American Consumer Opinion Panel (ACOP)
Johnson&Johnson (ELQ)
I also am active with:
ZoomPanel
HarrisInteractive
Your2Cents
SurveySpree
Ipsos I-Say
I'm sure that there must be a few others, but I can't think of them right now :-)Loving wife to DH (8/31/03) and Mommy to Owen Alexander (9/20/06) and Oliver Andrew (5/25/12)

I don't think you can really rely on online surveys as a source of extra income, but it's nice to make a few extra bucks.
I do MySurvey and Pinecone. I used to do others, but they didn't pay well for me.
As Sara said, different ones work well for different people. My Blog: http://amysreallife.wordpress.com

You should write about dog grooming and self publish yourself online.
(blog would be a good start to see if you have a good interest in the subject, it's free)
Do some youtube videos Tutorials on how to make treats and how to groom dogs and upload them online. If they are good and original they will get very popular and drive traffic to your website. Once you have some content and you optimize it for search engines get in touch with google or another advertisement company, you can serve some ads on your site and make money.
The beauty of it would be that you could leveraged the skills you learn grooming dogs and add learn some additional skills without leaving home, computer skills, advertisement, writing etc...
Does your hubby have computer skills? (Even if he doesn't, you could both work together and learn the ropes. He could film you doing those tutorials etc)
You can leverage your learning with others across the world, give something to the global village and get paid for it.
This is not easy at all, but if you work hard on it you can achieve alot.
If you enjoy learning things you might have alot of fun doing it also.

Thanks for your info gabe!
I would be better able to use my cooking talents! Hence the name pizzamaker. LOL My husband is good at doing video and so are my kids. I wouldn't ask him as he is way to busy on home project to help me in this venue, but perhaps my kids could help me! This is a really interesting idea! Wow! What an idea!
I think I should look into that! It might be fun!

You create a video. You are free to put your URL throughout the video.
Just like an ad on TV but on youtube. I think they call this viral marketing.
Now if your information good and original, your video might become popular. Hence increasing traffic to your website. More views = more exposure = more money from advertisers.

For example in this video...A song/Video created. website in the lower left.
Now they sell songs... But if you do not sell anything you can sell advertisements if content is unique/good/relevant on your website.
Does this make sense?
