Default Does anyone here sell Mary Kay?

I am thinking of starting up a Mary Kay business and am up in the air. Has anyone here tried it successfully? I want to start out with little inventory, for money reasons. I am sure that my inital customers won't have a problem waiting for their order. I do have a great base of customers, I am in MOMS Club, Itnl., MOPS, International, and 3 different playgroups. Plus my son is in preschool, so there are other mothers there. I also am joining the women's aide at church as well.

I don't want to set myself up for failure. Do you have any tips you can offer? What about fundraiser ideas for churches? ANY hints, advice, ideas are appreciated!!

I sold MK for a few months but didn't like it. You have to be very outgoing to sell it. You have to be able to go up to people that you don't know and start conversations with them. I just couldn't do it! The product is really good though. Don't buy alot of product at first. I did and ended up having waaaaay too much! I hope it all works out for you!

I had a friend that tried to sell it and had to put a bit of money upfront for the stuff.I am thinking about selling Avon. Its only $10 to start and just about everyone I know uses their stuff(icluding me lol)ANyways that might be something to look into too.It sounds like you are very busy and know a lot of women who would be interested so look deep down into your gut(ok not best expression)and think is this right for me.WIth any kind of buisness it take time to build up clientelle and all I think if my friend stuck with it she could have done well.
