Smile How do you make extra money?

    Hi Everyone,
This is my first time posting.
Wondering how you make extra money besides selling things that are no longer needed? I look forward to reading everyone's input.

    Hi And Welcome!

To make extra money I do things like house-sit, dog-sit, online surveys (very little $) and occasionally waitress or bartend.

I work as much overtime as I can at work. I volunteer to stay late for people or work weekends when they need to get off. I prefer it to be at time and a half, but even if it's straight pay, it always helps.

    Default extra income

I'm thinking about selling plasma. But I have to fator in the drive to the donation center.

Do you have a skill or talent that you could sell? I'm a CPR instructor for the local university and it is the highest paid per hour job I've ever had. Now if only I could teach more than 1 credit a term!

I make extra money doing surveys, but it doesn't pay much. I also take our clothes and other items we no longer need/use to a local consignment shop and make a little extra money there. Couponing and rebating also make me extra money. I save the money that I get using coupons.

Well Welcome to fv. What my dh and I do is recycle soda cans for cash. Since that we already drink soda why not make a little extra money at it. We just got an empty bucket put a trash can liner in it. Then when it gets full then we have a place where we store those full bags. Because if you just take one bag in at a time you wont get very much in return. We usally wait until we have a truck load of cans before we take them to the recycling center where it is so much a pound. I would also suggest that you may want to smash the cans. That way the bag will be a little bit heavier. Also that way may not take as long to gather that many bags to take. We can get anywhere from $30-$70 per load. At work we also do this. Another co- worker and myself take turns of taking the full bag home. She also has been doing this for years. So at work we call it our can can.

Put an ad in the newspaper to do spring cleaning for people. It is just a one time job and it helps out the customer. I clean houses on the side for the extra money and babysit. I do these jobs before I go to work at my real job.

    Default paper route

I just thought of one more thing. Can you walk a daily paper route?

I knew a man who had a decent full time job, but picked up a paper route for the daily excerise! And he made a few bucks to boot!

I do online surveys and point programs online for extras, it's not dependable but a few extra bucks or gift cards to places we don't normally care to spend money on is a treat

Thank you, these sites are new to me. I've already found two books on my shelves to send to cash4books, and added them to my bookmarks in my phone so I can check them when I'm out and about at yard sales & the like!
