    Default Friend's daughter in bad accident.

    My friend Brenda's 21 yr old dd Carrie, was in a very bad car accident today. She was stopped on the shoulder of the road and a car rear ended her. She has had brain surgery and is in ICU now in an induced coma. Please remember them as Carrie heals. TIA

    Thank you everyone, any and all good thoughts and prayers are very much appreciated.

    Jack and I got in to see her today, we are her honorary grandparents. She had a pretty bad night, but they readjusted her meds and put her on a respirator. When we left at about 2:30 today, her doctor was still in surgery with another patient so we don't really know anymore.

    They removed part of her skull and have a drain in and so many tubes and machines hooked up to her it is pretty scary. She is very swollen all over her body and after trying to get out of bed last night they upped her sedation and now have her arms strapped down. The doctor said after surgery that they will probably keep her that way for at least 3-4 days, before trying to wake her.

    It is all a waiting game now.
