My heart is breaking for my DS#1
As many of you know, my DS#1 and his finance had a baby in Dec. '07. The little girl is now 8 months old. She is a beautiful little girl and we love her. My son adores her and thinks that is all he has to live for. Well, her comes the drama. Take a seat and hold on tight. My son, who was in the military at the time, came home for leave in May for 10 days. While he was in North Carolina, she called to let him know she was carrying his child. She gave him the due date and when he told me I questioned it - over and over again! He wanted to believe it was his and I guess we did too. I think you know what I am about to say. He was home in May, the baby was due in Jan. That is only 8 months. She tried to convince us that they count back a month and then add. Whatever, it isn't like I have never had children before. So, I finally convinced DS#1 to take a paternity test and she isn't his! He is so lost. He feels like he just lost a child - someone he loved more than anything! He has become very attached to her and even pays child support every month to the mother because her parents 'said so!' DH and I also wanted him to be responsible for her until we found out the truth just in case she was his. I spent lots and lots of money on this child. I have identical items of what she has at her home at our home so that when she comes to visit weekly, she feels at home. I grew to love her. I have pics everywhere of her. We have all lost a child today. I am heart broken for my son more than anything. I hope he realizes what type of person she is now.
By the way, he confronted her today with the results and she admitted that she thought it was her ex-boyfriends!! WHAT!!??!! Her family has blamed my son for ruining their daughter's life. She was a senior and on the swim team...BLAH BLAH BLAH! Well, their angel is not an angel after all. They do not know yet, but they will because they will be wanting some child support this month.
Somehow we have to get his name off the birth certificate.
Right now, DH and him are riding in the country having a heart to heart. I know it is killing them both. DH was attached to her too. It would have been our first grandchild.
Please, if you have time, send good thought, prayers, whatever you believe in for my son as he mourns over the loss of 'his' child.~*Michelle*~

I feel really sad for your son. He sounds like a great guy and wants to do right. It is a tough thing to go through. You will have my prayers and hope things can get worked out.

Oh Michelle

I am so sorry that your family has lost a precious little girl in your lives. It's always a hard thing to deal with when you realize that something like that has happened to those you love the most.
