    Default An urgent prayer request

    As many of you know, I provide in-home care to a sweet little 18 month old baby named Elizabeth. She was born with a heart defect, is ventilator dependent, and has a whole raft of other problems. She has been making excellent progress UNTIL last Sunday.

    Since Sunday, she has been in ICU at Peyton Manning Children's Hospital in Indianapolis in an induced coma. We were trying to get her ready for her final corrective surgery later in the spring - but the doctor's hand is now forced, and she will be undergoing many hours of open heart surgery tomorrow.

    Her parents have given her back to the Lord, and her outcome is in his hands. Would you please lift her, her parents Michael and Kelly, and the doctors and nurses up in prayer? We know that whatever the outcome, God is in control and it is meant for our good.

    She is a sweet natured little girl with crazy hair and a beautiful smile.

    This next part will seem very shallow to many of you (it sounds shallow to ME, TOO!) but as long as she is hospitalized, I am unemployed. Not high on the totem pole of important, but an extra stress for my family as we are moving in two weeks.

    I'll be praying for your little daycare child! I can't imagine something like that happening to one of my own dear, sweet girls or daycare children. Many, many prayers will be sent heavenward for the family and for little Elizabeth. God will listen...and God will answer...
