Default I've been having health problems

    Hi Frugal Village Friends,

I have not been posting much over the last few months, but I have been visiting the forums.
Some of you know that I have a brain tumor w/seizures that I have been living with for 18 + years. I had radiation 18 yrs ago and have a MRI every year. The tumor has been stable and shown no growth for this long.

However, when I got the last MRI it was at a different hospital. My doctor switched to a new hospital and asked me to get it done there. When the results came back the radiologist said she detected some new growth.

So from there we went to a Nuerosugeon in a larger city. The good news is that he thinks that the new MRI was done with a better machine with newer more up to date technology, so the picture may have come out clearer than the previous MRI's.

They are thinking that there may not actually be any new growth, just a clearer picture. So the nuerologist and nuerosurgeon are ordering a series or MRI's every 4 to 6 months to watch the tumor to see if it is actually growing. Both doctors agree that if it is growing then it is very very slowly and non agressive.

So I have been going to doctors and getting tests almost all summer. My EEG came out normal and my seizures are under control.

Oddly enough, I have had a sense of peace about this whole thing and feel that God is watching out for me. But I have been feeling overwhelmed with this and all of the other crazy stuff that goes on in my life.

My 8 yr old has adhd and asperger's and has been seeing alot of doctors for re-evaluation: psychiatrist, psychologist and therapists. He is doing very well - but I am just exhausted.

Also, we are in the middle of having a new bed/bath addition put on. I seem to be having panic waves whenever I have to make a decision about it: paint colors, flooring, siding - you name it!

Anyway, that is why you haven't seen much of me lately. But it has been comforting to come here and surf when I need to.

I'm sorry you are dealing with so much. So glad you are being so closely monitored with state of the art equipment and expertise. Glad too that your seizures are under control.

As far as stressing over the addition, it's just stuff and if your decision isn't perfect it's OK especially with things like paint. That's an easy fix and in the grand scheme of things even if you don't pick the perfect whatever that extra space you are getting is going to be wonderful. Hope you can post some pics, I'd love to see them.

You take good care and I wish you and your family my best.
