Frugalfoster, that was very touching - thank you for sharing it here. What a beautiful relationship you had with your mother and it's amazing you were strong enough to publicly honour her at the funeral.
Life is indeed short, I think this more and more with each passing day.
Thank you, Frugal-fannie, for keeping her in your thoughts. I'm sorry about your FIL, the passing of loved ones is always hard and puts everything in perspective.
Thank you, too, Debbie for thinking of her. I still haven't seen her since the funeral, though have spoken to her via text. Her closest friend has passed on to the rest of us that she still needs time, so I'll wait as long as it takes.
