I called today to find out where DD was on the wait list for child and adolescent psychiatry and the secretary was like you haven't got a call yet? What really they also did not send there results to Pathways yet and she said that is because they never typed out the notes everything was in point form, and not written very well! I almost swore on the phone, but I kept my cool and she said she was going to look into it and if I hadn't heard anything by Wed to call back. I know I have said it before but the system sucks!

I am not a medical expert by any means but my DD is bi polar with anexity and BPD. Your DD sounds a bit like her in the actions, especially the bi polar parts. My DD would tell me she could see little people running across her room, looked like clowns but were evil. She would sometimes hear thing that would scare her. Sleep was often very difficult for her as well. She used to try to focus on a movie or book and could not concentrate. Thoughts of suicide, etc. It took quite some time for her to receive an 'official' diagnosis and even longer to get the correct dosage of medications. Today, as long as she takes her medication it is not too bad. She still has anexity, worries over everything and has periods when she can talk incessently. But she is also working full time as a title processor, part time as a nanny, paying her own bills ( with some help now and then from Mom) and getting along much better. I only share this with you to let you know there is hope. Dont give up and dont blame yourself. It is way too easy to let friends, family and even doctors pin the blame on you but it sounds like you are doing all you can to help your daughter. I will keep you in my prayers! HUGS
