Thank you for all of the prayers and positive thoughts.

Also, many thanks for the link MRAHoffman. I have passed it on to my friend and am going to spend some time tomorrow checking it out.

If one good thing has come from all of this is she and I have gotten so much closer. She has let me keep her boys while she goes to chemo. She lets me cook for her and buy her gifts. When her it was her son's birthdays, my family was the only "outsiders" (non-family members) she invited to their parties. But, she has always done that. When she told me about her recent PET scan, she apologized to me for her being sick. She said she was sorry and she knew it was not the news I wanted to hear. She is more worried about how the rest of us are taking the news than herself. She has her moments when we catch her looking at her boys and she tears up. Sometimes her emails have a sadness to them. But, for the most part she puts on a brave face. I don't let her see me cry nor do I let her know how sad and worried I am.

I know those of you here who are also my friend on Facebook, you are probably tired of hearing me go on and on about this. But, thanks for listening there and here and praying for my friend. It means the world to me.

I started a post at the Her2 site titled " Calling all Stage 4 ladies!!!!"...keep an eye on it as well as PLEASE tell your friend to ASK questions, these women are a WEALTH of knowledge (there is a lady named Lani on there who I have spoken on the phone with personally and she is a researcher and keeps people abreast of current information). Your friend will QUICKLY learn that there are many breast cancer lines and that studies that are done are done on different lines, so results may vary. Also, if she gives a general idea of where she is from, she can receive information on facilities, doctors etc in her area. One thing I found when I was first dx, is that different websites target different people (certain ones will have few people with the same treatment or cancer, some are young and believe it or not CATTY, and some talk about everything BUT cancer and treatment). Her2 is much more treatment and survival based. Herceptin is the latest thing since sliced bread. Take care and HUGS to your friend. Your Breast Friend

Thumbs up Here's some positive stories for you...

AND Barbara who was in the original trial for Herceptin in 1990, is STILL going strong after 20 years as well as the founder of the Her2 support group has been a Stage 4 survivor for 12 years as WELL as the lady I used to get my Herceptin with has been Stage 4 for 8 years and I just saw her in December and she STILL looks great. Herceptin is a game changer. Take care.

She has been on the website all day today and loves it. She said to tell you thanks for the link to it. She told me it was very encouraging.

Again, thank you, not only from her but from me as well. Knowing she has some renewed encouragement and is feeling more positive is wonderful.
