see if your dr can refer you to a diabetic educator. Check your local hospital to see if they have an educator. This will include what to cook, how to cook and most importantly portion sizes.

You may want to try cooking with organic extra virgin coconut oil. The oil is supposed to be good for diabetics and people with low thyroid. It also works great on the skin and hair.
