So sorry this is definately the place to come and talk. A lot of us have issue w/ things that might suprise others.
suggestion-keep a diary of what happens when ,foods, possible triggers, behaviors. This will help in the reevaluation of her meds.
I pray they can do better for her and you. And work w/ a mental health pro. I simply can't believe there is no place that can handle her anywhere. hugs. and prayers.

Hugs to you!!! Glad you felt safe enough here to share your story. I pray that your daughter will be able to find some help with a change in her meds.

Today started out rough, DD decided she wasn't going to her daily program. Said she was going to quit and stay home. Nope didn't happen, I forced her to go and she ended up having a great day. She came home way happy. Man that girl can flip happy-mad-happy-mad. I had to have three teeth worked on today so she was more than I could deal with. Was nice to see her in a good mood for a change but scary also, just never know when she'll flip.

    Oh goodness! *hugs*

First, you didn't rant. Hon, you needed to vent!

Second, is there anything that she likes to do that perhaps you two can do together that won't trigger any of her mood swings?

It's good to get her meds reevaluated because I'm in the same boat. I'm always looking at ways to help DS13 with his autism (and he was a cutter at one point in time, really high strung and still has some episodes where he's hitting things) but I can tell you that reaching out to at least one person helps... a whole lot.

onencgirl, no advice, just good thoughts coming your way. I can't even imagine the strength and character it must take for you to get through each day with such a challenge. I hope you find the right combination of care and meds to make both your lives better.

Today went pretty good. DD called wanting me to pick her up early. I told her no. She calls app 2-3 times a week with one excuse or another. She came home mad but I was able to diffuse it. She is slowly learning that I won't be bullied. I'm so glad she is not physically violent to anyone but herself. With her mental capabilities everything is so hard for her to grasp. Mentally she is app 9-10 but with adult hormones. She has a hard time in a lot of areas.

So sorry to hear you are going through this. HUGS I know how hard it can be to deal with violent behavior. My DD is only 8 so I don't really have any ideas for you. Just letting you know you aren't alone.

Hugs, hon. Are there any support groups through a local church or place of worship? They might be able to get you help and/or support since the other support groups don't seem to be available.
