I agree with what everyone has said here. It sounds like "emotional" cheating.
I want to be loved and respected for who I am and cannot respond if I don't feel that. For me, there is a fine line between making love and having sex. It is about emotional connection, trust, and security. It is a higher ethic and emotionally deeper than seems to be prevalent in some individuals these days.
A thought ~ could he be "in love" with the alcohol and sex because he was/is unable to deeply open up and love? Did he have deep emotional connections as a child?

I know some people that say they are alright with it but I have always wondered if they really were. I don't think its fair at all and if it upsets you then of course it is cheating. Imagine a marriage where BOTH partners are off in the strip club handing over their money to total strangers for a cheap thrill. It just doesn't sound right to me.
