Niece undergoing an operation
My sweet little niece Sarah will be having surgery tomorrow http://www.chkd.org/pectus/pectus_welcome.asp and will be in the hospital for up to a week. Can you send good thoughts her way please?

I would like to send her something to make her smile (something I can order & be sent to the hospital as the live in NC & I'm here in NY) while she recuperates, any suggestions would be great. Thanks friends.

Wishing her a speedy recovery. I'm so glad they've made advances in this type of surgery and that there is something that can be done for her.
I've never heard of this, but it sounds pretty scary for a little girl.

Thanks for the good wishes.
Sarah is 9 and unfortunately came home from school with her case of poison ivy worse than it was that morning (it was going away). Hoping that too calms down before surgery(& hope she can still have surgery) her Mom is a bit frazzled about it all.
What timing.

I'm so sorry to hear that she's having this problem and surgery Darlene. Thank goodness there is something that can be done for it. Let's see....what do 9 yr. old girls love....?
What about a great movie on dvd along with popcorn and m&m's (to be eaten at the same time...
), some really gummy candy and pop...? Not healthy but fun. I really will be thinking of her.

What part of NC are they in Darlene? I've lived all over it and have family and friends all over it as well. Maybe there is something near them that you can order from and have it sent to their house when they get home.
I'll be thinking of her. Please keep us updated
