Man, today has been awful

This am my great gran dies. I am dealing with it. Not well, but I am dealing. I call dh to see how late he is going to be. He said not long. He comes home and spits "early enough for you??" at me all mad. So fine, i have dinner going and he wants HM mayo to go with the artichoke leaves. I get it made (45 minute job mind you since i have never made it before) and i ask ds to go get dad to come taste. He comes all mad at being woke up...i didn't know he was asleep. he takes a bite of the artichoke and i point out the mayo and he grunts out "yeah, dip. I know". The floodgates break and i start crying (because of Gran) and he gets all mad about me "crying over the f'ing dip." I couldn't even get out that it was about gran not the stupid dip and he slams off telling me to grow up.

Geez, Missy, I'm so sorry you had to deal with that. Occasionally my DH cracks under stress and does something stupid like that. He always apologizes, but it still hurts. I hope your DH gets a clue. Hugs to you.

I think I would have lost it on my dh if he was that ungrateful for something I went out of my way to do for him.

he did eventually apologise, and brought ice cream as a peace offering. but i am still mad.
