Who is up for a Christmas card swap?
Okay, it's a little early, but the idea occurred to me, and if I wait, I'll forget.
I was thinking about how well we get to know each other in our FV world, but how most of us will never meet or interact in the real world. Kind of got me thinking of things along the lines of actual FV get-togethers, which would be expensive for those not close to a "hub," which is kind of contrary to our purpose here.
So how about we do a Christmas card exchange? For those who are interested, if you would like to PM me your name and mailing address and how many cards (1 to whatever) you would like to send, I will collect that information and will randomly assign you however many names you pick (provided that we get that many takers) as well as their screen names to send a Christmas card. It can be a store bought, home made, etc. Please no electronic cards, though. Plan on investing in the price of a stamp.
If we get enough takers, I'll send you your list of names approx November 15.
If we don't get much interest, I'll let you know via this thread by November 1 that we are off.DH aka Mad Hen

Very cool! Moor, I tried to PM you and the computer sent my message before I was done, so sorry if it looks abrupt!
Be sure to PM me with a mailing address and how many people you want to send cards to. I'll pick names at random after I get the whole list.DH aka Mad Hen

I thought about just sending out the whole address list to each, but I wanted to give people the opportunity to send out only a couple of cards, if the list were long. Didn't want people to feel that they had to go out and buy a whole new box of cards and a roll of stamps to participate!

Hopefully, we'll get more interest and have a lot of names when the time comes to send out cards!DH aka Mad Hen

Yes, I'll be sure to give you the user name, as well as the RL name/address. Otherwise, most of us won't know who we are sending cards to!
