If anyone else wants in on a sock swap, let me know! So far its just me and Madhen, but I'd be glad to toss some other names in the hat, if anyone wants to!

I picked up a new project sweater at the goodwill yesterday. I've got a friend who loves knitting socks and has recently gotten me interested - I've been thinking about this sock thing for awhile! Anyway, its a lovely avocado green (I hope you don't hate green, madhen!!), and I was so interested in the sweater (well, in its yarn, at least!) that I took it even though it has "bad" seams at the neck. The arm and side seams are great, but all the pieces are bound together at the top with bad bad sewing seams. I was patiently working through it this evening, but I am SO anxious to get started on these socks that I have taken a drastic measure...I cut the sweater! AHH! I should still get a great amount of yarn, and it was admittedly the scariest thing I've ever done with yarn. Haha. I'm just too excited to wait any longer!

I purposely took a dark photo of the one dishcloth, so you can see the pattern.

Madhen, I'm glad! I'm not sure how this recycled yarn is going to work out...It seems to be pulling apart - breaking - very easily, and I'm not sure if I'll be able to get it all unraveled and knitted up again without ruining it completely. I also have some new recycled cashmere in off-white. It is lovely! I don't see why not, but: is cashmere okay for socks?

Ooh la la...fancy cashmere socks. Cashmere is actually great for socks, but only winter socks, because it holds heat very well.

Just finished blocking mine and planning to mail them out tomorrow.

Earlier today I asked my hubby if he would get me a towel so he goes downstairs to the linen closet which is next to the laundry room where I was blocking the dishcloths.....he comes back, hands me the towel and says "I just want you to know all the towels and washcloths are cowering in fear." I just look at him like he's nuts and say WHAT????? And he says, "yeah, they saw what you did to those two dishcloths that are all staked out in the laundry room!" Alrighty then.....never a dull moment!
