craftypam, some of the best projects I have seen have been done by people who can't read a pattern. Leaves the avenue wide open for you to be creative.

Debbie, I vote for scrubbies, because I already have about a dozen of them made up now! I feel like Captain Kirk in "The Trouble with Tribbles." Call it "The Scourge of the Scrubbies."

Funny you say that madhen because I was thinking scrubbies might be a good idea! Yes, you wouldn't have a time crunch with all the ones you have made, would you?!

But there would be no element of surprise to whoever got a scrubbie from me, because I've already posted pics of them!

Blocking: done! I'll be getting to the post office some time this week - I really want to get them sent before the end of the week, but it might be saturday before I can get a vehicle for my own use I hope they aren't late!!

Also, who suggested swapping socks? I know most people won't want to do that, but I LOVE the idea. I've never actually made any, but I really want to try, and I'm not sure if I'd ever get through a pair unless they were for someone else! Whoever suggested sock-swapping, maybe we could do our own little swap?

Of course I love the idea of other kitchen items and the scrubbies, too! I would love to have some of those in my kitchen!!

Great!!! I can't wait to get started! Now I just have to dig through my stash and find some good sock yarn, and find a pattern I can stand. I'm excited!
