Dishcloth Swap!!! Join in the fun!!!

COME JOIN THE FUN!!!!!

UPDATE

Some people have asked if they can send out dishcloths that are new because they can't knit or crochet and I think it is a good idea so everyone can be involved.

I don't know if this will be the first ever swap on FV or not but we are going to have one!

If you will to participate, send me your name and address by JUNE 15 th.

I will put all names in a box draw two at a time and match up swap partners.

You will then have until JULY 15 th to complete two - (2) dishcloths to send to your swap partner.

Whether you knit or crochet it is totally your decision. You can contact your swap partner, if you wish, to find out what color their kitchen so it matches their decor.

I will be placing an album in the picture section of FV so when you receive your dishcloths, take a picture and post in on the album. Make sure you include your name and swap partners name. (If you have trouble doing this, send them to me and I will be happy to place them on there for you)

We have such artistic, talented people and great cyber friends on FV let's spread it around!

Tuesday June 16th the names will be drawn from a hat and then I will post them. So far there are about 18 names. I am excited for this as I think it will be great to get something in the mail just for ourselves!

Once I post the names, then I will PM everyone with their swap buddies addresses.

I'm so looking forward to this. Even though I don't really knit and crochet, I came up with another cute idea to add some crafty style to the cloths. I'm gonna try embellishing them with fabric strips along the sides, about an inch or so in. Then letting them criss-cross each other at the corners. Can't wait to hear my partner's color scheme. I really did want to personalize it a little at least. Anybody else have ideas for adding your own touch to store bought?

If you are crafty with a sewing machine, but not a crochet hook, there are also possibilities. I am not sure exactly what they are (I am NOT crafty with a sewing machine!) LOL But I am sure someone who uses one could come up with either embellishments, or maybe a type of fabric would be good

Ooh, I guess I'd better start thinking along the lines of dishcloths!! Can't do much with colour until I get my partner's name, but I can go look at patterns!
