Well, I'll be the odd one. I'm having no company and I'm off all week, so I've more or less done Thanksgiving cooking all week.
Monday: turkey breast and pork loin, cherry pie
Tuesday: turkey soup
Today: baked sweet potatoes, squash-carrot-onion-cheese skillet
Leftovers all week, but so good, they hardly count as leftovers!Donna

~We're going to my parents' house. My mom does all the cooking although we hang out and I try to help.
DH and I make a pumpkin pie together to take every year, I'm also making some real whipped cream and cranberry relish.
I usually make more to take but we'll have only a small group this year so we're keeping it somewhat simple.~~Constance

I have to say, dessert is my favorite part on Thanksgiving. I'm an advocate for the Pampered Chef, here is a unique recipe I will be using.

There is only the four of us this year so we are going to be having a venison roast with all the trimmings. We had a big Thanksgiving Dinner about 3 weekends ago when hunting season first started and we had all the company here so tomorrow will be a simple meal. Then I will begin decorating for Christmas!

I'm making 2 pecan pies this evening to bring to our friend's house where we were invited.
“When you get to the end of all the light you know
and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
you will be given something solid to stand on,
or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller
“Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
there are signs that the world is speedily
coming to an end;
bribery and corruption are common; children no
longer obey their parents;
every man wants to write a book and the
end of the world is evidently approaching.”
— From a translation of an inscription on
an Assyrian clay tablet, circa 2800 B.C.E.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
