So happy! Found out today that dh's family are doing different things this year so we are not obligated to go. So we either will go to my parents, stay home and do our own thing, or go out to eat. (never done that one before) Yippee!

Spending it with bf's family for first time--at his grandma's which is a sort of lame place - smells like old lady - blech; and she never opens the blinds; and his mom always turns down the heat. Sounds like fun, huh?

Ok, I am really going off the beaten path for Thanksgiving. I have a small family, it's just me and my mom, we go to the casino on Thanksgiving and we eat at the buffet there. We enjoy spending our time together there and have a nice supper and don't have to cook and make a whole mess just for the two of us....

it's funny, when you are young and you have all the family drama, you hate the big get togethers that the holidays always bring. Then you get older and everyone grows up and moves away or passes on, and all you wish for are those big, old, dysfunctional days. Enjoy the time you have now, it doesn't last forever.....
