    Default Greatest compliment?

Yesterday, early am, I'm taking the garbage out and run into a neighbor. Really nice guy that I haven't seen in a few months. We chatted for a few minutes, I dumped the garbage and was walking back to my house and he shouts out "Hey, Jerry, you've got a great tush!" It cracked me up and made my day. We both laughed when I said I want that printed on the back of my shirts!

PS - My neighbor is gay and it was in no way a pick up line.

    What's your greatest compliment?

I alway have people say oh you can't be that old. Then I tell them my oldest is 32. It makes me feel young

Yes I'm out of my mind. It's a dark and scary place in there.

When I was told what well behaved boys I had.
This was years ago but I still remember that compliment.

Even though I know it's not true, not long ago someone told me I looked like I did in high school. I thought 'you're such a liar' but man it felt good

I had a gentleman escorting me to a very formal New Year's Eve party tell me that I looked so beautiful that he felt like he was out with a princess! I loved it!

About a month ago, Dh and I went hiking the AT. The 3 older men of our group thought I was 10 yrs younger than I am. That made me feel really good. They said it few times during the nine day hike.

I've had a few that really brightened my day...

-being told my kids have great manners and/or are very polite and well-behaved is a great one

but my favorite occurred many years ago, when I was still married, and my (then) husband's parents had just moved in with us. I was trying to find ways to make the budget stretch, as we were basically supporting two extra people and buying his dad's medicine to the tune of $150-$200 a week. So I was gathering all my coupons and leaving the house at 3:30 a.m. to hit the local 24-hour grocery store on double coupon day (up to $1.00 coupons!). An older gentleman saw me piling my purchases on the register belt, two cartloads of it. Then he saw my total after coupons - over $200 worth of groceries for $65! He looked at me and said, "Do you read the Bible?" I told him I did, and he responded, "Well, I wanted to make sure you understood what I'm going to say - you are TRULY a Proverbs 31 woman - in the flesh!"

That absolutely made my day, and I still think about it!

Well last week I was told by five different people (none of which I knew) that I have a great smile. Which just made me smile even more!

"A smile starts on the lips, A grin spreads to the eyes, A chuckle comes from the belly; But a good laugh bursts forth from the soul, Overflows, and bubbles all around." --Carolyn Birmingham
