    Default loss of patience

Is the loss of patience due to age?
It seems the past year or so I seem to have very little patience for anything. Weeds too tall in the flower bed, dog not doing *exactly* what I want, idiot drivers, etc etc etc.
All my life I have been a pretty patient happy go lucky kinda guy but damn, cross me and I will bite your freaking head off.
    Please tell me it's normal.

Oh.. noisy kids.>>> ARRRGGGGGH!!!!!!.. well, I can tolerate them for a while.

Russ - think it may be perfectly normal - have noticed DH - the most patient man in the world - is losing his patience more often lately. Looking forward to hearing what others have to say. IMHO Russ - you are a wonderfully normal man with great things to share!!

I am 34 and all of those things have always agreviated me. I would be happy if at some point in my life they did not.

I think its age related. I'm getting the same way, too. I used to be a very patient person. Not any more.

    Russ;
My dh was one of the most patient people I know and he is losing his too.
And I too have had very little most of my life; (referring to Josephhgoins) ESPECIALLY with other drivers. I always hope I don't see someone I know on the road.
As for noise; I live on a court and am sick of listening to these large lawn mowers of these companies cutting neighbors lawns disturbing my silence.

If the loss of patience comes with age, then I'm doomed. Look out! I don't think I've ever had any. Well just a wee bit, I guess.

Russ, I'd say your pretty normal.

    Default Yes totally normal...

my grandmother in her 90's would say whatever she thought in her head out loud...My dad in his 60's would do the same thing...My brothers would get offended at them..however i just let it in one ear and out the other...
The sad part is that i have noticed myself lately thinking something and saying it out loud...I have been told that i have lost my filter...the sensor between my brain and my mouth is malfunctioning....

Russ... you may be lacking some vitamin B. Try taking a B complex daily and see if things improve.

My opinion, normal. My patience was never top of the line but now....ugh!

Especially people...I used to like people...now...not alot of patience with them. I say this all the time at work...luckily it's OUR work and not in front of people obviously but when a particulary annoying one leaves I turn and say You know, I USED to like people.

I used to love customer service...making someone smile who was having a bad day. Or having a nice conversation with someone coming thru while I was taking care of them. NOW...not so much.
I remember once when working a long time ago...LOT younger, had a lady used to come thru my line once in awhile on her way home from work. She was always in a hurry and not rude but not "happy", never smiled...never. I made it a game to see how long, if ever, it would take me to just make her smile one little smile. Took over a month. But she smiled and not only that but started making it a point to come thru my line. She never got chatty but she always smiled and said a "few" words and always thank you. I won.
Now, I'd just run her crap thru and said thank you and "Next"

Nope, definitely worse, have to make myself.

Maybe we just notice the stupidity in alot of people more than we did. Maybe we should all wear red hats.
